I am a paralyzed person who is looking for a qualified caregiver(s) in Northwest, OKC to provide personal care, part time. I have a regular caregiver who needs a break, every Saturday. I need about 1 hour of assistance in the morning, and 1 to 2 hours in the early evening.
THIS NEXT REQUEST IS NOT MANDATORY, but I will set up interviews with those who follow my request before answering long email questions
My disability makes it quite difficult to type replies to questions you might have, so rather than emailing me a lot of questions, please provide a telephone number and the best time to call, so that I can contact you. I will not call at inconvenient times.
In the morning, you will be helping me with getting dressed, transferred into my wheelchair (without heavy lifting), and served some cereal. In the evening, you will be helping me reverse this process, as well as helping me with my personal hygiene.
Applicants, you must be very dependable, and have references. You must also have a car and a telephone. If you don't have experience working for a paralyzed person, I'm willing to train, if you are willing to learn !
Because of the cost of gas, I strongly prefer someone who lives very close to my home near NW Expressway & N. MacArthur Blvd.
The pay is $12 per hour for experienced people; and trainees can reach that pay level fairly rapidly. You do not have to be a registered aide, CNA, CHHA or certified home health individual; but such experience is very helpful. Location: NW OKC
Compensation: $12/hour
