HHA/ C.N.AFunctions as a para-professional member of the Hospice team supervised by a Patient Care Manager. Perform various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs, to promote the patient's comfort, and a safe environment. Observe patients and report/document these observations and the services provided. Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company's budget. Travel as necessary.

Requirements• Minimum age requirement of 18. • Completion of recognized Nurse Assistant certification program • Passing score on Odyssey's skills test. • Minimum of one-year direct patient care experience in an institutional or home care setting required. • Hospice experience preferred. • Skilled in the proper technique for lifting and transferring patients. • Ability to read, write and follow instructions and document care given. • Understands Hospice philosophy and needs of terminally ill. • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices. • Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene. • Excellent observation and communication skills. • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting. • Physical exam in accordance with state law requirements. • Valid driver's license with maintenance of a good driving record and reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with state and/or Odyssey requirements and is in good working order. • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers. • Satisfactory criminal background check. • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
