Current Needs: Currently seeking an experienced Ambulatory Care Technician in Billings, Montana. This is a full time, 4 month contract position.
Position Description:
Assist in nursing care of the patient based on patient age adolescent through geriatric and ensuing requirements.
Obtain a brief overview of patient history and monitors presenting vital signs
Assist patients with basic needs, comfort and safety, assists with admission and orientation of patient to department and prepares patient for discharge
Perform procedures including, but not limited to, sterile irritations and dressings, splint application and crutch walking, assists physicians with procedures such as suturing and eye exams and performs urine collection for drug screening and tests
Obtain blood specimens as assigned and labels all specimens and reconfirms the identification on the sample using the patient's arm band.
Job Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience is required
Previous medical experience and/or phlebotomy experience preferred
Education & Certification License Requirements:
High school graduate or GED required
Current Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
