Rocky Mountain Health Care Services, a local non-profit organization, is seeking a part-time CNA to work with our Rocky Mountain PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) participants in their homes. The ideal candidate will provide direct personal care to frail elderly by promoting health and healing in the participant’s homes; qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a current Colorado CNA certificate. One year of experience with a frail elderly population required (experience with developmentally disabled adults will also be considered).
Required attributes: knowledge of the principles, practices standards and techniques of a Personal Care Provider; knowledge of safety requirements and best safety practices; skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution; ability to work independently with minimum supervision; and ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
The physical demands of this job include, but are not limited to: the ability to lift/carry up to 65 pounds and push or pull objects exceeding 150 pounds; standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling and reaching at arm’s length for prolonged periods of time; working under stressful conditions.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be familiar with Microsoft products, and enjoy working with computers. Candidate must be willing to submit to a drug screen, background check and check of driving history.
Position is part-time, 20 hours per week with the option to advance to full-time in the future
