Caregiver-CNA, CMA or MA (North County)

Fraternity House, Inc. operates two licensed residential care homes that provide 24 hour a day care to men and women living with HIV/AIDS. Applicants are required to be either a CNA, CMA or MA. We are currently seeking candidates for: PM or NOC shifts. We currently do not have AM shifts available. [LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY-North County].
Position Summary:
The Caregiving staff provides 24-hour a day personal care and supervision to meet each resident's unique needs, including assistance with activities of daily living, assistance with adherence to complex medication regimens, meal preparation/nutrition adherence, providing a clean and orderly home and laundry. Caregivers also help transport and assist residents with medical appointments and weekly recreation.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide basic care management services to residents including but not limited to activities of daily living, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and other duties required in the care of the residents or as assigned by a supervisor.
2. Assure medication is dispensed to comply with laws, regulations, licensure and professional standards of practice. Monitor the storage, distribution, control, and dispensing of medication in adherence to the healthcare provider orders, State regulations and organization policies
3. Observe and monitor residents mental and physical condition and activity level, and report suspected issues or symptoms to the Residential Supervisor, case management team, doctor or other care personnel.
4. Perform household duties to provide a clean and orderly living and working environment; maintain a safe, secure, comfortable environment for every resident.
5. Prepare and serve meals to residents.
6. Perform and record routine technical tasks such as vital signs and weights.
7. Accurately and succinctly document personal observations of individual residents and medication adherence, and communicate important information to appropriate staff members: Caregiving notes, incident reports, transmittals forms and any all forms and/or paperwork required during the course of work day. Maintain the organization of the client records and files, and other record keeping systems.
8. Participate in and receive daily report at start of shift
9. Communicate with residents' families and/or appointed representative, if necessary.
10. Promote and protect resident rights.

Other Requirements
1. Completion of a physical exam, TB test, and criminal record check prior to employment.

4. Must possess and maintain a valid California drivers license and a satisfactory driving record
