Haven Behavioral Senior Care, North Denver was founded on the principal of providing quality behavioral healthcare, not only for our patients, but also for their families and communities as well. Haven has a position immediately available for Certified Nursing Assistant/Behavioral Health Techs.
Haven Behavioral North Denver is seeking Days and Nights, Full-Time and PRN C.N.A/BHT's to support our Thornton location. The CNA/BHT is responsible for providing direct patient care to elderly adults, who are diagnosed with behavioral disorders. Assists in ensuring the safety and well-being of the patients. The CNA/BHT participates in processes to help identify patients' problems, needs and strengths. Suggests modifications to treatment plan based on observations of patients' behavior, provides input into discharge planning. Participate in implementing patients' treatment plans by monitoring patients' progress, communicating information regarding patients' behavior to other members of treatment team and maintains communication with patient, family members and referral sources in patients' interest. Carries out general nursing care assistance, appropriate to adult elderly patients, as assigned and supervised by nurse in charge. Maintains a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients; carries out clerical and administrative assignment to support patient care. There are two levels of commitment, a high and a low commitment that PPN C.N.A/BHT's need to sign for this position.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Colorado Licensure as a CO Certification as a C.N.A preferred
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1- 2 years experience consisting of behavioral health/psychiatric experience preferred. Experience working with geriatric psychiatric patients preferred. Acute care psychiatric experience preferred.
