PCA/CNA (part-time) (Bonner Springs, KS)

Location: Bonner Springs, KS
PCA/CNA
Job: 20+ hours/week (part time)
Schedule: *VARIES (*must be available some overnights, 9p-7a)
Pay: $9-10/hour range (probation period)
Emergency shifts: $11+ /hour
Support Staff needed to work with individuals with brain injuries. This position provides on-going direct services to customers requiring TLS services via the Kansas or Missouri Head Injury Programs
Skills/Education: High School diploma or GED required. Certification in First Aid and Adult CPR, or willingness to attend training, required. Must be organized, possess time and personnel management skills, and work well in group settings. Presentation and communication (both written and verbal) abilities required.
Duties (include but not limited to):
To provide customers with assistance in transitional living services as outlined in the customer’s support plans and/or as instructed by supervisor.
To assist with or instruct on dressing, grooming, and hygiene;
To assist with or instruct in meal preparation;
To assist with or instruct in administering medications as directed by a physician;
To assist with or instruct in creating a clean, safe environment;
To assist with or provide community participation, as scheduled or outlined;
To assist with or instruct in performing laundry duties and housekeeping;
To keep and record documentation of all activities and events. Must be able to communicate progress towards a measurable goal.
The environment is that of a typical home and community based setting. Requires community outings and travel.
Worker MUST:
-Have reliable transportation (your own car)
-Able to pass all drug and background screenings
-Be a self starter
-Be able to handle periods of stress
(prefer experience with working with brain injuries but not required)
