Liberty Village of Maryville is looking for Experienced CNA's for our Alzheimer's Unit!!
About our Unit
We consider all residents residing on Garden Court as individuals with unique needs and interests. Through an individual activity/ability based program we strive to effectively meet these needs and interests.
The intent of Garden Court is to provide consistency with well-trained and committed staff with a resulting safe environment conducive to reducing anxiety and confusion with the population we serve. While skills diminish, desire on the part of the resident to excel does not, and programming is designed to allow success in the part of the residents we serve emphasizing their strengths at the same time maintaining their dignity. It is not what they cannot do, but rather what they can do.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for CNA's with at least 1+ years experience working in an Alzheimer's/Dementia Unit with the following characteristics:
- Willingness and eagerness to work as a team.
- Ability to provide scheduled activities, and deliver resident centered spontaneous activities throughout the day.
- Desire to help residents maintain as much of their impendence and personal choice as possible.
- Ability to anticipate needs and is pro-active about helping the team and our residents
- Dependable and reliable
- FT/PT, all shifts
Minimum Qualifications
- -Strong desire to work in a team environment
- -Current CNA certification
- -Ability to pass a background check
- -Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 200 lbs on wheels
