Essential Job Functions:
Assists with maintaining client hygiene, grooming, and comfort
Assists clients with elimination
Maintains client skin integrity
Assists with client mobility
Monitors client vital signs
Fulfills all essential job functions of a Health Companion
Conforms to basic infection control procedures
Reports client care activities in accordance with Company policy
Maintains positive Company relations with clients
Fulfills mandatory Company in-service educational requirements
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a High School diploma, GED, or two years of supervised work experience
Current First Aid, CPR certification (Basic Lifesaver Level), and TB clearance required
Must submit to drug screening and criminal background check
Flexibility in schedule and assignment location is required
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license and certified traffic abstract for driving program
Ability to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills to write routine reports
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds
Experience working as a companion to elderly or related experience
