Sandy Home Care Service is a privately owned and growing in-home care agency. We've been serving the east side and close in west side of Portland and outlying areas for about fifteen years. Our clients range from Welches, Boring, Gresham, Sandy, Portland. Our agency is committed to providing quality care to our clients and assisting them to maintain their dignity and quality of life in their homes.
SHCS is looking for CNAs and caregivers to place with our clients. Employees of SHCS are compassionate, dependable and trustworthy. They understand that caring for clients in their homes is a responsibility and privilege. They can work independently with attention to detail. They enjoy the pace of home care and have the ability to provide excellent care for their clients without having to take short cuts. Additionally, they are energetic, thorough, mature and understand that caregiving is also about documentation of care.
Ideal candidates have at least 6 months prior experience working with and caring for seniors. CNA certification is a plus, and so it previous experience working with seniors who have dementia or alzheimers. Some of the duties of our caregivers and CNAs include meal preparation, laundry, med reminders, bathing, assistance with ADLs, companionship. Some lifting may be required. Applicants must be physically able to do the work required.
Applicants are 18 years or older, with a valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance. They must be able to pass a drug screening, background check and provide personal and professional references prior to employment. SHCS offers a flexible schedule, competitive wages, paid monthly continuing education classes offered by our team of nurses, on-call person available 24 hours a day, great management staff. We have many shifts available from 3 hours, 5 hours, 8 hours to 24 hour live in, day shifts, evening shifts. Positions are part time or full time depending on your availability. We are also looking for a CNA to work morning shifts Monday thru Friday at nail care clinics. Company transportation provided. Previous nail care experience not required, but an ability to work well with seniors and staff is essential. Experience with alzheimers required, along with a positive attitude and good work ethic. Part time position ranging from 10+ hours a week.

Compensation: Beginning wage ranges from $9-$13 an hour depending on experience and licensure.
