Responsibilities:
1. Assist clients with personal care needs
2. Provide patients with emotional and social needs
3. Assist patient with Range of Motion exercises, transferring, and positioning
4. Follow a nursing plan of care
5. Report important information to Supervisor
6. Escort clients to doctor's appointments, shopping, and other outside activities
7. Care for laundry and linen, light housekeeping and cleaning
8. Provide medication reminders
9. Meal preparation and clean up
10. Must be proactive
Education:
Graduate of 120-hour C.N.A. training program approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing
Requirements:
1. Must hold a Virginia certification as a C.N.A. or be eligible to obtain a Virginia C.N.A. certification within 120 days of employment
2. Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills (in the English language) sufficient to perform the principle duties and responsibilities outlined in this position description
3. Capable of performing the following minimum physical requirements:
Â• Heavy lifting such as transferring client from bed to wheelchair and/or lifting/caring heavy objects
Â• Stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching such as bathing, making a bed, cleaning up spill, etc.
4. A PASSION for helping others
5. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with client, families, and friends, as well as other team members within the company to assure the best customer service
6. Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
7. Drug screening, TB test, and background check will be done with the application process. Location: Mechanicsville, VA.
