The In-Home Care Certified Nursing Aide provides for the physical and emotional needs of the assigned clients. Performs work under the supervision of the licensed nurse. Performs nurse aides duties, not limited to: personal care of the patient (bathing, dressing, or hygiene, toileting activities and feeding), transferring and ambulation activities, range of motion exercises, vital signs (temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure), and post mortem care. Receives direction from licensed nurses in planning and carrying out nursing aide care. Observes and reports to the licensed nurse the physical and psychological condition of the patient including any changes. Reports safety hazards and unusual incidents involving clients or self to the Supervising Nurse and to the office.
Education Required:
CNA License and Six months experience as a Certified Nurse Aide. Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job. CPR and First Aid current certification. Food Handlers Card. A minimum of 12 months CNA strongly preferred.
