Responsibilities:
• Provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan. Inventory and mark their personal possessions as instructed.
• Transport residents to appointments, activity and social programs, meals, etc.
• Assist residents with daily hygiene / care.
• Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
• Report all complaints and grievances made by the resident.
• Assist residents in preparing for medical tests and / or physical examination.
• Gather vitals on residents.
• Provide post-mortem care as instructed.
• Immediately notify the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of any resident leaving/missing from the facility.
• Report all hazardous conditions and equipment or safety violations to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse immediately.
• Report any communicable or infectious disease to the Director of Nursing and/or to the Infection Control Coordinator Operate all equipment and personal protective equipment in a safe manner.
Requirements:
• Subject to be on call during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school grade education.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of this state.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes to maintain current certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Attend and participate in scheduled orientation programs and activities, annual OSHA and CDC in-service training Programs for hazard communication, TB management, and bloodborne pathogens standard.
