Part-Time CNA or Personal Caregiver (Henderson, NV)

Seeking a CNA/PCA with a minimum of one year "verifiable" experience as a caregiver for a part time position in a private home in Henderson (near College of Southern Nevada).Please Note -- as this is only a part-time job, 5 or 6 hours a day, 2 - 3 days a week, you might not want to apply for this unless you live close to zip code 89015.You would be working with a female patient weekends and possibly one other day or evening per week. Hours usually noon to 5:00 p.m.Patient has emphysema, heart condition and diabetes. She walks very slowly and uses a walker.You should be energetic and have an outgoing personality.Duties would include:Waking up patient upon your arrivalAssisting her in choosing daily clothing -- she will bathe, groom and dress herselfPreparing ceral for breakfastTaking blood pressureChecking oxygen levelChecking blood sugarAsking if she took her medicationRunning errandsShopping at marketTaking her to Dr. appointmentsHelping her transfer to wheelchair and van. Transferring -- not picking her up. Watching her and helping her with balance while she gets in or out of chair.Pushing her in a wheelchair (she weighs about 115 lbs.)Light housekeepingLaundryCompanionship is one of the most important things.It is very important to find someone who can keep a conversation going, but will also be observant and able to step back to allow her to watch television if she is engrossed in it.Please have the following:- Professional, compassionate, mature, but friendly personality- A minimum of one year of caregiving experience or PCA/CNA certification- 2 employment references- Fluent English speaking- Current CPR/First Aid card- Current DMV driving record (from NV DMV)- Proof of auto insurance and an auto- Current NV Drivers License- Social Security Card or other I-9 acceptable documentation- Ability to pass a background screening processYou must have all of the above, or be willing to obtain them before you start work.Please read this carefully:Please e-mail your resume -- it is IMPORTANT to COPY and PASTE YOUR RESUME IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL.
