Full-time position available for a Senior/Adult Care Aide.
The organization is dedicated to supporting mature adults in their effort to remain in the community with dignity. Inventive programming includes diverse and creative activities, lively entertainment and therapeutic recreational programs designed to promote health and renew enthusiasm for life. Experience with older adults with physical and cognitive concerns is preferable. We are looking for a team-player with an upbeat attitude to join us in our mission and assist our participants to remain happy and healthy in our community.
This position receives programmatic direction/supervision from day care center directors, activity specialist and clinical supervision from center nursing staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provides all services in accordance with program policies, protocols and procedures
• Provides client-directed care to match the specific needs and abilities of each participant
• Assists clients with activities of daily living, including toileting, personal care, eating, walking, showering
• Builds and maintains relationships with participants
• Maintains CURRENT CPR certification
• Maintains CURRENT Nevada Health Card
• Assists in food service
• Performs a variety of basic housekeeping responsibilities as assigned
• Assists in activities and classes including crafts, exercise and cognitive programming
• Assists participants and caregivers when entering and departing the facility
• Attends meetings and trainings to enhance job skills
Physical Effort
• Requires ability to lift clients (100#), assist with wheelchair transfers and ambulate disabled clients
• Co-lift in association with toileting
Education/Training
High School Graduate or G.E.D. Equivalent
CNA certification a plus
