Sandy River Center is currently looking for a variety of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) to join our team, and provide the highest level of care. Benefits available include paid time off, Dental/Vision Insurance, 401k, as well as other excellent opportunities.
We are looking for the following positions: *7a-3p – Every Other Weekend *7a-3p – Every Other Weekend plus 2 days during week…24 hours/week total *11p-7a – Every Other Weekend plus 1 day during week…16 hours/week total *3p-11p – Every Other Weekend plus 1 day during week…16 hours/week total *3p-11p – Every Other Weekend
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Handles and serves residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, adhering to instructions issued by a licensed nurse to establish shift routines.
-Performs duties in accordance with established methods and techniques and in conformance with recognized standards.
-Assumes responsibility for varied resident care duties as assigned by a licensed nurse to include admitting, discharging, transferring and caring for the resident’s personal belongings and assisting the licensed nurse in performing resident treatments.
-Assists the licensed nurse during the resident admission assessment.
-Participates in the formulation and follow through of the resident’s nursing care plan.
-Uses Standard Precautions when caring for all residents. Adheres to Contact and/or Droplet Precautions, as indicated by resident condition.
-Bathes the resident in bed, tub or shower, combs hair, cleans and cuts fingernails and gives shampoos.
-Positions residents in correct body alignment in and out of bed and applies safety measures under the direction of the licensed nurse.
-Assists residents in and out of bed, in walking and transports residents throughout a Center via wheelchair, geri-chair, or stretcher.
-Takes and records weights, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and respirations.
-Feeds residents, assists all residents with their meals and provides in between meal nourishment, as well as providing fresh ice and water to the resident’s bedside.
-Reports any/all changes in resident’s condition, any family concerns and resident’s complaints to a licensed nurse.
-Accompanies residents when transported outside Center for appointments as needed.
-Answers resident’s call light or bell, delivers messages, administers bedpans and urinals, cleans areas of spillage or accidents caused by the resident.
-Makes both occupied and unoccupied beds.
-Collects and bags soiled linen and delivers to dirty linen area; if assigned, washes and dries items in domestic washer/drier.
-Obtains clean linens and supplies from supply areas as directed, cleans utility rooms, kitchen areas and all other nursing areas, as assigned.
-Cleans resident equipment.
-Receives and escorts visitors, collects charts, records and reports.
-Transfers resident’s belongings and equipment as directed, and assists with postmortem care.
-Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights.
